Once again BBC Suffolk called upon Carol, their Style Guru to give the listeners some tips about how to get their autumn look together on a small budget.
Steel yourself to the wardrobe and take a long look at what you have already there.
Make 2 Piles -
Pile 1
In this pile put anything you have never worn
Anything that you bought in a hurry and then didn't like them when you got home
Anything you dislike but think 'that'll do'!
Pile 2
Clothes you know you look good in,flatter your colouring and your body shape and make you feel fantastic!
Chances are the biggest pile is Pile No.1 and that means a lot of costly mistakes!
Carol encouraged listeners to get their basics in place first and to fill gaps where that smart jacket, suit, trousers etc. is needed.Try and spend a little more than usual with these and they will last longer. Then only buy tops, shirts, etc. that are your best colours and that you can mix and match to give you lots of choice for both work and socialising.
Girls, think about changing jacket buttons for a fresh look and maybe investing in some new accessories to give a last year's outfit a lift. Coloured opaque tights will give a current twist and a beautiful new necklace instantly transforms an outfit. For the men, there are some great colourful woven ties to cheer up last year's jacket and there are lots of great offers on shirts around.
Think smart, consider your buys carefully and you'll have fun putting together some stunning Autumn looks!
